Volvo built the 850 for only a short time, between 1994 and 1996. All 2 variants use petrol engines, from 241 hp. Every version has a manual gearbox. Compared with the previous generation (1992 – 1997), peak power rose from 226 to 241 hp, and minimum weight went up by 115 kg. It was also available as a estate.
