The Pontiac Sunfire Sedan was in production from 1999 to 2002. Only one version was offered: the 2.4i 16V 5MT FWD, good for 154 hp. Against its predecessor (1994 – 1999), peak power rose from 149 to 154 hp, and minimum weight went up by 35 kg. The same generation also came as coupé and convertible.
