Mercedes-Benz built the C-Klasse AMG for only a short time, between 1990 and 1991. Only one version was offered: the 2.5 16V 5MT, good for 235 hp. Top speed is 250 km/h. Compared with the previous generation (1984 – 1988), peak power rose from 185 to 235 hp, and minimum weight went up by 80 kg.
